"The Kentucky Breakfast Stout, Backwoods Bastard and the Curmudgeon Old Ale are all aged about 80 ft below ground in the gypsum mines here in Grand Rapids (Michigan). It is where they used to mine gypsum years ago and now is used as a storage facility. We began aging our products there because we had run out of space at our old location. It is really a great place for storage because the temperature is constant, the humidity is high and it is remarkably secure. One of our college friends owns the storage facility."

Founder's Brewing Mines
